On 10 and 11 October 2016, ESHTE hosted a meeting with the world’s leading experts on Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Law.

The following year, it happened a new International Conference and the publication of the first book in English, The New Package Travel Directive.

The 2017 International Conference was part of the official commemorations of UNWTO 2017 International Year of Sustainable Tourism – Event on the Celebrations Map and Calendar, as well as in the Report of the International Year to the United Nations General Assembly.

In 2018, the book Sustainable Tourism Law was published, featuring a foreword by the WTO Secretary-General. In 2019,the second edition was launched, with eight more authors from Argentina, Spain, Israel, Italy and the USA.

The 2018 International Conference is the source of two other publications.

During the pandemic, we have embarked on Web Conferences, starting with one on The Legal Impacts of COVID-19 in the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Industry (20, 22 and 24 April), followed by one on Wine Law (16 and 17 September) and, finally, on one on Tourism Law in Europe and Latin America (19, 21 and 23 October).

Exactly one year after the Web Conference, the book Wine Law was published in 2021, in an excellent loose leaf-format as well as online.
